    • Edward Colbourne is recognized as the progenitor of the Coburn line in America, but the research in England failed to produce his line. In September 1635 the ship "Defence" arrived in Boston with 17 year old Edward Colbourne. He had 9 children with Hannah Rolfe. He was Nathaniel Saltonstall's farmer which indicated he was the manager of this prominent man's estate.
